Frequently Asked Questions

The weight of glass requires concrete to secure the mounting hardware.  If your decking has at least 4" of concrete, then glass is an option for you.  If you would like glass through your yard, a concrete footer must first be poured.  We can help you determine whether glass or other fencing options are best for your particular needs. 

In most environments, the glass requires very little upkeep.  Cleaning is similar to home windows.  Glass fencing is typically not exposed to hardwater like your home shower glass so mineral deposits are not a concern.  However, spray from lawn sprinkler systems or saltwater pools can leave a residue and need to be addressed in our design consultation.  We offer a glass coating that makes glass easy to clean.  It is tough enough for rugged, high use environments.

No.  Our hardware is made of high-grade stainless steel.  Beware that our competition frequently uses a lower grade of stainless steel.    

We use tempered safety glass that is a minimum of 1/2" in thickness.  The tempering process hardens the glass making it about 5 times stronger than regular glass.  It excels in high-use areas such as airports, shopping malls, resort pools and balconies.  While all glass can break or chip, our glass routinely stands up to errant golf balls, batted baseballs and even hurricanes.   

The most important part of the installation is the quality of the people actually doing the installation.  Our Houston-based team has many years of experience and will see you through the whole job from start to finish.  Beware of dealing with out-of-town companies or with companies that do not actually install the fence themselves.
